Does anyone celebrate May Day any more? I remember as a child
my mother and I making little baskets out of cupcake liners and ribbon, filling them with
small flowers from her garden or candy treats and delivering them door to door to the
neighbors. Some of the simplest traditions can be the sweetest and very much a fond
memory of time spent with my mother. If Mom were here today, I know she would be
right by my side helping out with the store. I can credit her with my love of all things
crafting. She was always making something.
Speaking of Mothers, we are starting to get our Mother’s Day papers and stamps in, plus
lots of pretty florals sure to please your Mom. We have many new templates from card
layouts to little paper potted plants, baskets, even Iris folding templates – very fun
technique if you have never tried it. We also have a lovely new cameo embossing folder
that just screams to be turned into a Mother’s day card.
