SCRAPBOOKS FOREVER CARD SWAP
We had a great response for our evening card swap! Our first one will be this coming Tuesday. We had 15 girls sign up to attend! The theme is Easter. The cards that will be swapped will be displayed in the store and pictures will be put on the website for all to enjoy! Since we have already received positive comments about having it in the evening, I believe we will do it again!
The theme for April is spring. The catch is….. your card has to “spring” in some way. It can be a pop up card, or your embellish-ments can spring out (Piggy Tails has some great springs you could use) We also carry springy goggly eyes. That is just a few examples. Let’s see what “spring” to mind for you!
Don’t let this challenge scare you off, play around with this idea, and have fun with it!!
To participate in April’s card swap you must be signed up by Thursday, March 19th, it is a free event; however, we ask that you take the commitment seriously. Others are depending on you. You can go to our web-site for a complete guideline for the card swap. The actual swap will be Tuesday April 13th, at 6:00 after the store closes. You can come early to shop and then we will swap! SCRAPBOOKS FOREVER CARD SWAP RULES
Before you commit to signing up for a card swap, please check your calendar, make sure you have plenty of time to get your cards done, and that you can attend, or drop off at the store, on time.
Swaps are fun. However, remember the other people who signed up as well. They are creating as many cards as you are and they are looking forward to seeing the cards they will be receiving. So please don’t pull out at the last minute, many people will be disappointed.
So even though the card swap is free, it is a commitment that we ask you to take seriously.Thank-you!
- No cards smaller than a 4”x 4”.
- All cards must be accompanied with a correct size envelope.
- All cards must have at least one embellishment. (i.e. Button, brads, eyelets, ribbons, ect.)
- All cards can be the same, or all different, or a mixture. You decide.
- You must stick with the theme that month.
- One card is for the store; to be displayed in the store and on our website.
- All cards must include your name, and where you are from. Everyone likes to know who and where the cards came from. You are welcome to include your e-mail address or mailing address if you would like.
- Please do not stamp your name on the back of the cards you made.
- Please use a tag in the card or a piece of paper around the card with the information.
IF YOU ARE MAILING YOUR CARDS
You must include a self addressed, pre-paid, stamped envelope (correct postage) enclosed with your cards. This way, we just slip the new cards in the envelope and mail it back to you that day.
Cut off dates to sign up for the card swaps are the 2nd Thursdays of each month.
Card swaps are the 2nd Tuesday of each month, after store hours, unless otherwise stated. So come early to shop and then we will swap!
CARDS FOR SOLDIERS
Come & create cards for our soldiers! 1st Baptist Church of Kimberling City is hosting a night where you can create cards. It will be held on March 25th, Thursday from 6pm – 9pm at the east campus. They would like you to sign up in advance so they know how many to expect! The cost is $5.00 per person. Please bring your own tools and adhesives (i.e. scissors, trimmers, double sided tape, ect.) The theme will be Fathers day, and July 4th cards.
You can bring your own items to work with and create with, o you can create the cards they have created, or do a little of both. This is a great time of fellowship and so many soldiers will be touched!

ARKANSAS MAKE-A-WISH
Jacki with Make-A-Wish Scrapbooks, has more names of kids with wishes that need a scrapbook donated!!! The Arkansas Make-A-Wish office would like her to make books for their children! Give her a call 417-207-4661.
She is also throwing a “Kisses To You!” Thank-you party & crop for everyone who has made, or is making, pages or scrapbooks, or has donated money. This is her way of saying Thank-you!!
MAKE-A-SCRAPBOOK FOR MAKE-A-WISH CHILDREN
We can give with our time, money, and/or talents. We can now give even with our scrapbooking. Every child in the Make-A-Wish program has a family who wants to remember their time together. What better way to give then create an 8x8 scrapbook for a family who doesn’t have time to scrap at this time. What an awesome gift to give a family that is grieving; a book filled with pictures and memories of their loved one. You can! Jacki Richardson of Springfield, Mo. has an ongoing list of children’s names, their sex, age, and their wish. All you do is choose a child and create a themed 8x8 scrapbook for them.
If their wish is to go to Disney, the theme of the scrapbook would be Disney. One boy’s wish is a car make-over; He’s 17. What fun that album would be to create. She asks that you please make the first page a dedication to the child. Please use the child’s name. Make it personal. She asks that your layouts accommodate 4x6 pictures. They may not be into cropping and enlarging. Let’s make it simple for them . Please contact Jacki at 417-207-4661 and she will make sure that you are matched with a child and family. You can drop or mail the completed books to Scrapbooks Forever and we will make sure they get to Jacki, or you can send them right to Jackie. You can finalize the details with Jacki.
You can touch a family’s life, as well as they can touch your life.
